Internship locations:
Lutheran Family Services: Help with relocation of refugees to the Triad area. Also help with social services for refugees, as well as job training, English training, and counseling.
Greensboro Urban Ministry: Interns help screen clients who are in need of assistance, as well as help with various jobs around the shelter, such as the clothing bank, food pantry, and serving lunch each day.
Room At The Inn of the Carolinas: a unique, comprehensive program helping homeless, single, pregnant women, not only during their pregnancies but also after the birth of their babies. By providing shelter, food, clothing, case management, in house day care, transportation life skills education and counseling in a structured environment, we help these families have new lives of healthy, hope-filled self sufficiency.
Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Greensboro: Our goal is to provide every young person with the essential tools needed for a successful and bright future. Since 1939, the vision of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro has grown and changed with the needs of our children. As the needs of our children and their families continue to change, so will the dynamics of our programs and services. Every day, the six Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro strive to improve each child’s life by implementing self-esteem, courage, and positive values through all of the educational programs. Our youth come to The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greensboro to receive tutoring, computer training, sports education, homework help, and mentoring. Our youth gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness and belonging.
Hannah’s Haven: Hannah’s Haven Recovery Home seeks to provide a safe and stable environment for women who are in recovery from substance abuse. In partnership with the community, they aim to help women develop in spirit, mind, and body so that they can become all they were created to be in Christ.
